Ever wondered why although you’ve been an independent artist for so long but you don’t even know where you’re going or coming from? Every day, you ask yourself, “God, when?”
2014 was when I started my music journey officially as an artist. I could make a couple of music but nothing seems to be working. I kept on asking myself what next.
Every waking hour was painful. I’m doing this, chasing my passion against all odds.
My parents sent me to school to study, but I find myself chasing my dreams and my passion, following my heart doing music.
How can I make them proud? How can I make it in this music? Although each of those moments was painful and filled with uncertainty, my passion for music kept me going.
One of the reasons why it was tough and felt uncertain for me was because I didn’t have a strategy; I didn’t have a plan.
I was doing music out of the love for the music itself; apart from that, I didn’t know anything else, and it was painful not to be making progress.
Following your heart and doing what you love automatically comes with a big problem because most of the time, you don’t know or have anyone around you who has done what you’re doing now, so you’ll have to figure it out yourself, and this might take years.
These were the major problems I was facing as an artist, so I began to learn how to produce myself so I could make more songs. It turns out that I was very good at it.
I started producing for my younger brother and kept on making beats for myself and him, I was so good that I found myself making beats for others as well.
Until 2021, when I finally decided to fully go into beat making and learn the music business, including everything I was lacking in all my years as an artist.
I then made a promise to myself to share my knowledge, resources, beats, tools, and service to independent artists like me a couple of years ago so they won’t fail
After becoming a full-blown music producer making beats, it took me a while until it hit me deep.
What I have been missing out finally revealed itself so clearly to me: what independent artists can do to ensure they won’t fail and also guarantee that they will succeed and eventually blow up
The truth was quite simple but not so easy, but I’m committed to making it easy for you so stay tuned
The very thing you have to be doing to succeed is obvious
Davido will say “Hawk your market, carry your market for your head” Promote yourself always tell people about what you do online and offline the more you do this the more you’ll start seeing results
You need just 2 things
Now, the problem with making music consistently is that it is quite expensive, especially when you’re an independent artist and you don’t have enough financial backings
For example, to get just a license to use a beat will cost you somewhere around #46,500 to #77,500
Now, if you should multiply that by 12 months in a year for beats alone, you’ll be spending #930,000 per year
So what you need to do as an independent artist is to learn ways that you can get more out of every money you spend on your music
Now, imagine a solution to this problem where you can spend way less than that amount but still be able to get as many beats to make as many songs
After years of strategic thinking on how to solve this problem for independent artist, I finally came up with a solution that’s currently helping artists get beats to stay consistent with their releases
You can now get 3 beats per month for #50,000, which will cost just #600,000 per year, but you can pay just #230,000 once yearly and get a total of 36 beats by the end of the year for all your songs
This will enable you to make music consistently and also be able to drop EP’s and albums every year

One other thing that ca help you as well is to have a sure studio close to you that you can always go to record, the more you work there, the cheaper it get for you.
So you must do this as an artist, it was one of the things I did right and what helped me in my artist days
So in conclusion, there are only 2 things you have to do, make music and tell people about it (Promote!)
